Charity Triples Saturday 20th June saw 40 Triples meet at Willowbrae to play in the Charity Triples for the Pat Hartman Trophy. After a most enjoyable day the Final was contested by 3 young Bowlers from Queensberry who took on the EBL Committee Rink consisting of John Cossar (Mayfield), Roddy Watson (Dean) and Gordon Wilson (Northern). The age gap showed and the experience of the Committee Rink prevailed. President Alister Paterson was delighted at the support of the Clubs and additional teams (who covered for Braid and Coltbridge) and for the support of Alan Hartman of Alpha Trophies. He also thanked the Willowbrae Club for their efforts and support in making it a memorable day. Whilst the final figure is not yet known, it is envisaged that Chest, Heart and Stroke (Scotland) will benefit by at least £2,800. A truly wonderful effort by the EBL Clubs and their representatives on the day. |
